Hospital Green Roof System
ABG used their experience within both the green roof and slope stabilisation sectors to create a bespoke design to make the curved roofs possible. Working closely with the design team, the main contractor and envelope contractor Prater Roofing, ABG designed and manufactured a multi layer system, installed by ABG Installs.
The project included a 52,600 square metre main hospital and a 9,500 square metre outpatient's department. Work began on the hospital in March 2013 with Lindner Prater starting work in 2014. It was important to select a waterproofing system suitable for the green roof application and at the design stage.
