Abstract We have cloned and characterized a new member of the p38 group of mitogen -activated protein kinases here termed p38 δ. Sequence comparisons revealed that p38 δ is approximately 60% identical to the other three p38 isoforms but only 40-45% to the other mitogen -activated protein kinase family members.

Abstract The p38 family is a highly evolutionarily conserved group of mitogen -activated protein kinases (MAPKs) that is involved in and helps co-ordinate cellular responses to nearly all stressful stimuli. This review provides a succinct summary of multiple aspects of the biology, role, and substrates of the mammalian family of p38 kinases. Since p38 activity is implicated in inflammatory and ...
p38 mitogenactivated protein kinase
Abstract P38 mitogen -activated protein kinase (p38MAPK) is a multifunctional protein kinase that plays an important role in human normal physiological activities and a variety of major diseases, and its signaling pathway affects a variety of regulatory factors in vivo, which is related to cell cycle, survival, metabolism, and differentiation.

Abstract The p38 family is a highly evolutionarily conserved group of mitogen -activated protein kinases (MAPKs) that is involved in and helps co-ordinate cellular responses to nearly all stressful stimuli. This review provides a succinct summary of multiple aspects of the biology, role, and substrates of the mammalian family of p38 kinases.
p38 Mitogen
Abstract Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD)—Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis—are relapsing chronic inflammatory disorders which involve genetic, immunological, and environmental factors. The regulation of TNF-α, a key mediator in the inflammatory process in IBD, is interconnected with mitogen -activated protein kinase pathways.

This particular example perfectly highlights why Abstract Four P38 Mitogen is so captivating.
Abstract The protein kinases p38 γ and p38 δ belong to the p38 mitogen -activated protein kinase (MAPK) family. p38MAPK signaling controls many cellular processes and is one of the most conserved mechanisms in eukaryotes for the cellular response to environmental stress and inflammation.
